A staple at the farmstead. Rice is the most widely consumed staple food for a large part of the world's population. Here is how we cook the perfect white rice with an AppaLatin twist.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup AppaLatin Sofrito
1/2 tablespoon AppaLatin Adobo seasoning
2 1/2 cup broth or water
2 cups white basmati rice, rinsed*
*Different types of rice may have different liquid-to-rice ratios and cook times.
Heat olive oil and soffit on medium for 3-5 minutes. Be careful not to burn garlic.
Add AppaLatin Adobo and mix together, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
Stir in broth or water.
Add rice and increase heat to medium-high until boiling.
Reduce heat to low, stir, and cover for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and keep covered for 5 minutes.
Fluff with fork before serving. Enjoy!
